Emaar's two-level Dubai Hills Mall stands in Dubai Hills Estate directly by Al Khail Road (E44). In 2017, it was promised for the end of 2019, but it opened to visitors on 17 February 2022. The building has 2 million sq ft, or 187,500 sq m, of leasable area spread across two main levels. There are 7,412 parking spaces for shoppers arriving by car.
The mall directory lists 380 shops, while the Dine section has another 106 food and drink venues.
Where to buy groceries: Géant hypermarket with 20 checkouts and convenience shopping
Géant hypermarket on the ground floor of the mall opened on 21 March 2022. On launch day, it was described as the largest Géant store in the UAE. It has 35 to 40 shopping aisles and 20 checkouts. Fresh produce, meat and fish, cheese, delicatessen items, organic goods, groceries, electronics and homewares are sold here. The hypermarket includes Maison Marguerite cafe.
Mall Mart is a convenience-format supermarket on the lower ground floor. Eataly is in the Dine section on the ground floor: an Italian food hall format with a restaurant and Italian groceries.
Clothing and department stores on the ground floor: from Zara by the Grand Atrium to Marks & Spencer
H&M with H&M Home and Zara are by the Grand Atrium on the ground floor. H&M with H&M Home offers clothing for the whole family and home goods, while Zara carries clothing for women, men and children. H&M with H&M Home was already trading on the mall's opening day, 17 February 2022. The mall directory also lists these brands:

Everything for the home and DIY: Crate and Barrel, Home Centre and Ace Hardware
Dubai Hills Mall has interior and home-improvement stores. On the ground floor, the anchor Ace Hardware store sells tools and supplies for DIY and the home. H&M Home and the Lifestyle department inside Centrepoint are on the same floor.
On the first floor, anchor store Home Centre offers furniture, textiles, tableware and home goods. Crate and Barrel is also here, with premium American furniture and homeware. The mall directory lists four more interior brands alongside it:

Electronics, sports and books on the first floor: from Sharaf DG to Decathlon
The first floor has anchor electronics store Sharaf DG, as well as Jumbo Electronics for appliances, communications equipment and computers from global brands. Virgin Megastore is also here, with books, music, games, gadgets and gifts.
The first floor has anchor sports retailer Decathlon and Toys R Us for toys and board games. Mediclinic Dubai Hills, a multidisciplinary clinic with a pharmacy, is by the Storm Coaster lobby.
The record-setting Storm Coaster, Roxy's 28 by 15 m screen and a VR park
The indoor Storm Coaster roller coaster has operated since the mall opened on 17 February 2022. The ride begins on the ground floor, where the train climbs vertically to more than 50 m. Its track runs for more than 670 m through three floors of the building. It is the world's fastest roller coaster with a vertical launch, reaching 77 km/h.
Play DXB: a 7,000 sq m family virtual-reality park across two levels, with more than 30 attractions.
Roxy Cinemas opened on the first floor on 31 August 2022. It has 15 screens, including Roxy Xtreme with a 28 by 15.1 m screen. It is the Middle East's largest cinema screen.
The indoor Storm Coaster reaches 77 km/h after a vertical climb of more than 50 m, while the Roxy Xtreme screen stretches 28 m across.
Five indoor play areas: from Adventure Park trampolines to workshops
Children's activities at Dubai Hills Mall are concentrated on the first floor, where five play spaces sit alongside the toy stores. Adventure Park by Emaar has welcomed visitors since the mall's opening day. Inside are 11 activity zones for climbing and jumping: Jump Park trampolines, the Ninja Park obstacle course, a climbing wall, a maze and Sky Park's suspended ropes course.
Four more children's areas are open on the first floor:
- Hamleys Play. A Hamleys play space with interactive games and children's events.
- La La Land. A children's play space with crafts and experiments for ages 18 months to 12 years: children make paper aeroplanes, explore airflow and build cars from construction sets.
- Like Bricks. A play area with plastic construction toys.
- Mumu Family. A shop with a free play area, face painting and a birthday party room.
A hundred cafes in the mall and restaurants nearby in Dubai Hills Business Park
The Dine section lists 106 venues: cafes, ice cream counters, fast food and restaurants, including Eataly on the ground floor. When the mall opened in February 2022, its food hall included Pizza Hut, KFC and McDonald's.
Cafes and restaurants occupy the ground floors in Dubai Hills Business Park, around 0.4 km as the crow flies from the centre of the mall. Pret A Manger opened here in March 2026. Among the neighbourhood's venues are:

Everyday shopping in Dubai Hills Estate extends beyond the walls of the main mall. Spinneys Park Heights supermarket is at Park Heights Square, around 1.5 km as the crow flies from the centre of the mall.
The community also has:
- Nahdi Pharmacy. A pharmacy by the Park Heights residential cluster, around 1.4 km as the crow flies from the centre of the mall.
- Lei Rose Flowers. A flower shop in the residential part of the community near Acacia and Park Point, around 1.1 km as the crow flies from the centre of the mall.
- ENOC with Zoom. An ENOC petrol station on the southern side of the community near Maple, around 1.8 km as the crow flies from the centre of the mall, with a Zoom convenience store.
There is no Waitrose supermarket in Dubai Hills Estate itself. The nearest Waitrose is outside the community, in Al Barari.
Things to keep in mind
- The mall opening was delayed. In 2017, Dubai Hills Mall was promised for the end of 2019, but opened on 17 February 2022. Ace Hardware was not yet trading on opening day. Géant hypermarket and Roxy Cinemas opened later, in March and August 2022.
- The project changed before opening. The 2017 plans called for more than 750 retail units and more than 20 cinema screens. Today, the mall has 380 shops, 106 venues in its Dine section and 15 Roxy Cinemas screens.
- Shopping beyond the mall. Spinneys supermarket is at Park Heights Square, while Zoom is at the ENOC petrol station near Maple.
- Waitrose. There is no Waitrose supermarket in Dubai Hills Estate. The closest branch is in Al Barari, outside the community.

- Plan your shopping by store type. Géant on the Ground Floor has 35 to 40 shopping aisles and 20 checkouts. Mall Mart, a convenience store, is on the Lower Ground Floor, while Zoom is at the ENOC station by Maple in the south of the community.
- Mix up the floors when looking for shops. Zara, H&M, Marks & Spencer, Max, Centrepoint and Ace Hardware are on the Ground Floor. Sharaf DG, Jumbo Electronics, Decathlon, Virgin Megastore, Home Centre and Crate and Barrel are on the First Floor.
- Look for cafés and restaurants in Dubai Hills Business Park. This cluster, about 0.4 km as the crow flies from the mall, has restaurants and coffee shops including Pitfire Pizza and Pret A Manger. Park Heights Square is home to a Spinneys supermarket.
